CYNTHIA WRIGHT FEATURED ON ATLANTA NEWS
Date: June 26, 2015
Boyd Collar Nolen & Tuggle partner Cynthia Wright was featured during WXIA-11 Alive’s 6 p.m. broadcast on June 26, speaking about that day’s historic Supreme Court ruling, which legalized same-sex marriage in all 50 states. Georgia was one of 13 remaining states where same-sex marriages were not recognized.
Wright, who served two terms as chief judge of Fulton County’s Superior Court before retiring from the bench last year, told the NBC-affiliate’s reporter, Donna Lowry, that after years of legislative wrangling, the high court’s final decision would be celebrated by many in Georgia. Earlier that afternoon, same-sex couples lined up at Metro-Atlanta courthouses to be among the first to legally wed in the Peachtree state.
Wright and the firm’s team of experienced family law professionals are ready to work immediately with same-sex couples who are contemplating marriage, to address related legal issues that they and their families may face.
