Date: February 22, 2017
ATLANTA, Feb. 21, 2017 – Boyd Collar Nolen & Tuggle is pleased to announce that seven of its attorneys have been recognized by Super Lawyers for 2017 in the area of family law. Founding shareholders Robert D. Boyd, John L. Collar, Jr., Richard M. Nolen, Jonathan J. Tuggle and partner Kimberli Withrow are named among Georgia Super Lawyers, and partners Katie Kiihnl Leonard and Kevin J. Rubin are recognized as Rising Stars. Only five percent of the lawyers in Georgia are selected as Super Lawyers, and fewer than 2.5 percent are named as Rising Stars. The complete list of honorees is available today at http://www.superlawyers.com/georgia.
Additionally, Boyd is recognized among the Top 10 List of all Georgia Super Lawyers, and Nolen and Tuggle are among the Top 100. These accolades are impressive, considering the selection process evaluates outstanding lawyers throughout Georgia from more than 70 practice areas.
Boyd, Collar and Nolen have been ranked by Georgia Super Lawyers for 14 consecutive years; Tuggle has been recognized six times by the publication; and Leonard has been named a Rising Star for four consecutive years.
The selections for Super Lawyers are made by Law & Politics, a division of Key Professional Media, Inc. of Minneapolis, Minn. Each year, Law & Politics undertakes a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by the Law & Politics’ attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area, and a good-standing and disciplinary check. Rising Stars are attorneys who are 40 years old or younger, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less.
